Animals and nature

Codes and conventions of animal and nature magazines:

  • All include a picture of an animal on the front page
  • All have bright colours that match the colours of the environment that the animal is found 
  •  Main cover lines talk about that animal that is the main image 
  • All shot types of close ups so you can see their face close up and see what they look like.
  • majority have bright colours and most have the same font as the masthead.

Pop music 













They all use bright colours to make the writing pop. They also use popular artists as the main image to catch peoples attention. They use colours that pop out of the page and they use a darker coloured background to make the writing pop even more out of the page.


Horse riding magazine












































The colour palette they use is a lot of blue and in one of them they use the background of where the horse and rider is. The main image usually show a close up picture of a horses face with their ears forward and looking at something in the distance. In one of them the main image is of a horse and it's rider jumping over a wooden fence. They usually use block caps for the masthead and some of them use a serif font for their cover lines or keep with the block caps. The features the cover lines include are what is included inside the magazine and different famous riders that may be talked about in the magazine. The target audience is people who ride horses or like horses because the magazine is all about horses and different horse riders that lots of people know. The cover lines has information about the facts inside. The audience of the magazine wouldn't be people that aren't interested in horses as they wouldn't buy it the people who are interested in horses are most likely to buy the magazine.
